New Releases: What upcoming games are you looking forward to?
Well, I tried this oldie but goodie over the weekend on a trial basis. On the down side, the graphics are kinda clunky, cutting edge for its release time, but today a bit dated. The UI isnt exactly inuitive but once you get the hang of it, it isnt too bad. If your coming into this blind and new, DO ALL OF THE TUTORIAL QUESTS!!!! It makes life easier for you I promise. Questing waypoints can be a little confusing, but it isnt impossible, just takes a little effort on the player's part.
On the good side, leveling is decent, not too fast, not ungodly slow. Gear from quests are actually useful for a bit before they get worn unlike alot of other MMOs. I havent figured out the crafting system yet. You can get your first mount by lv 10. I love the RVR system, its pretty damned cool in my opinion. Te hisorical/mythical backgrounds are pretty fun. I havent seen any RP at all but then I think that the setting was more a vehicle to the RVR PVP than anything. There are a ton of classes to choose from. For the most part they seem pretty balanced though I havent seen the high end yet so I wont call that confirmed. I havent figured out the crafting yet but Ill get there. Anyways, a fresh change and I like it so far. Im looking forward to seeing the player housing etc. I think that will be of interest as well.
